Season 6 kicks off with the Way Too Turnt Fest: a music festival shot on a Volume Stage. I worked with ILM to get graphics integrated to build the world of our festival. Additionally we had several practical elements such as flags, banners, signs, and props.
We also had a Greek event at Cal U, several bars and restaurants, a couple of strip clubs, and, as always, custom wallpaper.
This new series for Disney+ gave me so many creative opportunities. I’m really proud of the floor of the Underworld that was inspired by the classic film, Beetlejuice. We had a lot of fun with the branding of the Snickering Willows Middle School and the Boba and Beyond shop. The old house called for custom wallpaper and stained glass windows. Pretty Freekin Scary was also prop heavy and had a lot of silly food packaging, and some cool old blueprints.
It was so much fun to hop onto the final season of Black•ish. While this show primarily takes place in the Johnson Home and Stevens & Lido, we had a fun advertisement awards show, ad campaigns for S&L, and some environmental graphics.
This season took place at summer camp. Graphics were approached with more of a handmade style, oftentimes incorporating a painted look or designed digitally and sent off to be fabricated by hand.
